My name is Jane Marchi, and I am excited to be your child's fifth grade teacher this school year. Fifth grade is packed with endless amounts of fun and exciting learning events that I know your child, as well as myself, will enjoy!
Just like your child, I also attended Valley Park Elementary. In fact, I was born and raised here. I wouldn't have had it any other way! After graduating high school at VP, I went on to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Maryville University. After graduating, I worked for Valley Park School District by fulfilling several different long term substitute positions. Soon after, I was fortunate enough to receive a second grade teaching position at VP for two years, and now I am lucky enough to be teaching in the 5th grade! I quickly went back to earn my Master's degree from Lindenwood University in Gifted Education as well as my Specialist degree in School Administration. I am currently working toward my Doctorial degree in School Administration.
I have two children, Clara and Camden. Being a mom is my favorite thing in the world, and you will get to know them quite well though all the references I make during class (I just can't help myself)!
I LOVE animals! We have a French bull dog named Kate, and Clara and Camden maintain a small fish tank with a few fish of their own.
In my free time I enjoy running, reading, crafting, working on home improvement projects, and above all spending time with Clara and Camden.
So now you know a little bit about me, and I can't wait to learn all about you! I am positive this year will be filled with success, and I can't wait to get started. I'll be seeing you soon!
Love,
Ms. Marchi
